Some times $h#T happens! A board came off our fence today and the dogs decided to take a walk about! All were easily rounded up except Clide. You little stinker. Talk about give his momma a heart attack while she is at work! He's not exactly the smartest dog on the place and can be super timid so he decided to take off to the opposite end of the property and find the only hole in the fence and go visit the neighbors. Luckily, while at work, I was able to make a few phone calls to alert my doggy friends of our little escape and flee artist. But when he wouldn't come to my husband even with the other dogs as retrievers the best thing one can do is wait. Leave the gates open where he knows it is safe and hope for the best. Sure enough, by the time I got home, we was waiting for me back in the yard where he belonged. Chasing a timid dog can only amplify their fears sometimes. The best thing sometimes to do is just let them calm down and realize where home is. Just glad that he is home and safe! Thank goodness for good neighbors to keep an eye out and let us know the direction in which they run off too!
