Busy Spring Time!

Updated: Jul 8, 2021

Spring and fall have to be the busiest times of year for us on the farm! Between the dogs and puppies, breeding horses, spraying weeds, planting grass, cleaning pens, training horses, trimming feet, vaccinating, deworming, brushing, rock picking, filling Etsy orders, preparing for python egg clutches, taxidermy, entertaining the twins, oh the list can keep going. Not to mention all the mundane things as well, such as; doing the laundry, cleaning the house, washing dishes, finding time to cook, bake, shower? Maybe sleep at some point? Ya right! A lot of staying up late trying to tie up all the loose ends before we try and catch a few hours of sleep!

Some days meals are simple, some days you wear the same outfit, other days go without a hot shower, and most times, you dig through a pile of clean clothes to find what you need because you did not have time the past several days to fold them!

Yet life goes on! Even with the whole pandemic going on, life out here is much the same. Animals still need fed every day, the yard still has to be cleaned, work needs to get done and things need to get fixed. It's a good thing my husband and I are very capable to handle any situation and make a great team!
